Workout Wednesday

I was looking for a funny cartoon for today, but found the attached picture instead. It got me to thinking of ways that I used to convince myself that I didn't have time to exercise.

When I finally - and for real - decided to commit to my health, I suddenly found the time that I never believed existed.

I'm on the Internet less, I watch TV less, and I do active things with my son so we get to spend time together while we're moving and getting healthy. When spending time with family or friends, I try to get them to do something active with me, instead of sitting around watching TV or eating. Even standing when the option is to sit (at kids' events, doctor's appointments, etc.) burns more calories - add in pacing and even more calories slip away. There are always ways to incorporate activity and a boost to calorie burning into your day if you look at life creatively!

And I'm so glad I stopped with my excuses that I was too busy and started with living my new life!!

So it's Wednesday. How about we make today "Workout Wednesday" and commit to moving today? I'm going to run tonight, and do yoga, and do my kettlebell and lunge challenges. And you?
