Exercise is Better than Drugs

Not related to this post, but too awesome not to share.
Well, according to my psychiatrist it is. I had a visit with him yesterday to try to get back on my ADHD meds; I'd set the appointment weeks and weeks ago, just prior to starting the 12WSU! plan. He had me reflect on a few things, including how I TRULY feel right now in regards to my ADHD. And I actually feel pretty good. Between not being as overwhelmed at work, and the healthy diet and exercise, I feel centered and calm, even while being busy and my attention shifting a lot (but not shifting so much it's a hindrance like a couple of months ago).

I left his office without a prescription.

He said that the endorphins and other chemicals I'm creating by exercising regularly are doing what the ADHD meds would do, so he didn't think I needed them. And I agree. I can always call if things are crazy and I don't think exercise is helping me focus, but for now, I'm pill-free (aside from my vitamins), and not relying on medication is a state I always prefer to be in. I don't even keep cold medicine in the house.

Is there anything that diet or exercise has helped you with medically?
